8:00pm | Brain Dead (1990)
A Friday double bill of the truest form!! Pullman and Paxton headline this weird, low-budget cronenbergian classic that you probably only remember from the box cover in the horror section at Video World in the 90s. It's got brains in jars, open brain poking, and a sinister corporation that wants to... well it's not super clear, but it has to do with your brains.
Starring: Bill Pullman, Bill Paxton, Bud Cort
9:25pm | Dead Sushi (2013)
From Noboru Iguchi, mastermind behind modern schlock feminist art such as Robo Geisha and Mutant Girl Squad, comes this female empowerment film about going against the grain of family expectations and carving your own way in life. There's also a lot of nut punching and face melting.
Starring: Rina Takeda, Kentarô Shimazu, Takamasa Suga
Apr 29th
9:00pm | The Village (2004)
Shyamalan Thursday is not gonna be a thing, but let's see how this one fairs when we already know the twist. I remember it as really well shot, great score, and honestly pretty decent period work... by everyone!
Starring: Bryce Dallas Howard, Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody, William Hurt, Sigourney Susan Weaver
Apr 28th
9:00pm | Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994)
So this is the dubbed version, which sucks, but it's still a great movie! Amazing handdrawn animation, great fight choreography, and a pretty sweet 90's soundtrack including Alice in Chains, Korn, KMFDM, Silverchair, et al. Plus at PG-13, no need for cheat codes, this has straight up Chun-Li T&A for all your fan service needs!
Starring: Pretty Okay American VO Actors Including Bryan Cranston
Apr 27th
9:00pm | Galaxy Quest (1999)
What did we watch last, Insurrection? Cool, then this unofficially canon Trek movie is right on schedule! A fake, washed-up starship crew on the convention circuit are abducted by real aliens and expected to help resolve a galactic whoopsie doodle in full-on space.

Apr 26th
9:00pm | Jumper (2008)
Teenage angst is portayed as the ability to teleport anywhere in the world in this Doug Liman action adventure. Not sure if heartthrob Anakin has any other super powers, but I'm willing to bet some faction of government and/or mutant-hybrid tele-teens want him dead in any case!
Starring: Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Bell, Rachel Bilson, Max Thieriot, Kristen Stewart
Apr 25th
9:00pm | Hot Rod (2007)
Sure you could watch a bunch of rich people pander and puke woke bullshit at the world's most overrated fashion show. Or you could watch Andy Samberg try to jump 15 busses! I'll save you the trouble... the best film of 2020, Sonic the Hedgehog, doesn't win.
Starring: The Lonely Island, Bill Hader, Isla Fisher, Danny McBride, Ian McShane, Will Arnett, Chris Parnell, Sissy Specek
Apr 24th
9:00pm | Warrior (2011)
A story about an MMA family, likely with a bit of drama outside the ring, that eventually comes to blows for the championship. I've not seen this insanely highly reviewed film, but I'm gonna guess it's got more to it than a youtube video of Joe Rogan rolling with a guest on the floor of his podcast studio.
Starring: Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, Nick Nolte
Apr 23rd
8:00pm | A Little Bit Zombie (2012)
Zom-Com about a couple planning their wedding while on a getaway with the best man/maid of honor in the woods. Dude gets zombified, and wifey-to-be has to make the best of the raw deal. Bonus points for Zombie-Mosquito-Vision!!

Funny and poignant and Wes Andersony in all the best ways. Three American brothers take a trip on the titular Indian train line and get to know each other along the way. It has your favorite people, including but not limited to...
Starring: Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Angelica Huston
Apr 22nd
9:00pm | The Happening (2008)
Happy Earth Day! I just love that this movie has finally achieved the perfect 5.0 out of 10 on IMDB. Balanced firmly in place by its simultaneous lack of anything remarkable whatsoever indeed "happening" and somehow being not actually bad at anything it does do, it is a true anomaly of cinema. Join for... well something happens, right? RIGHT?!
Starring: Mark Wahlberg's Face (You Know the One), Zooey Deschanel's Hot Blank Stare, and That Ancient Villain "Light Breeze"
Apr 21st
9:00pm | Steamboy (2004)
In Victorian Era Britain, a boy inventor battles the forces that be during the steam-powered revolution. It's a steampunk animated action adventure! Amazon's got the description all wonky, this is the Japanese-language version, not sookie and picard, enable subtitles.
Starring: Anne Suzuki, Masane Tsukayama, Katsuo Nakamura
Apr 20th
9:00pm | Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Kevin Smith reboots his own movie for some reason instead of just making a sequel. Does it really matter? Probably not, the jokes would be the same either way. But I'll watch it! Don't forget to roll up a big fat baby's leg of a joint for our heroes Bluntman and Chronic, Happy 4-20!
Starring: Jay, Silent Bob, and all of Hollywood
Apr 19th
9:00pm | UHF (1989)
An unemployed loser with an overactive imagination takes over a local TV station and turns it into a hit via ridiculous game shows and gags. It's prime slapstick and pop culture parody stuff, basically if Weird Al Yankovic were to write a whole movie... wait, that's exactly what this is.
Starring: Weird Al, Kramer, Fran Drescher

5:00pm | Back to the Future (1985)
Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent thirty years into the past in a DeLorean so he can make out with his mom and almost collapse time-space. It's not problematic, it's cinema!

Apr 16th
8:00pm | The Monster Squad (1987)
A movie we all love about kids fighting classic horror monsters that try to take over their town. It's actually a bit too spooky for little kids, but it's still a kids movie. This gets the "Perfect PG-13" from me! And yes, Wolfman's got nards.
Starring: Andre Gower, Duncan Regehr, Tom Noonan, Mary Ellen Trainor
9:22pm | The Descent (2005)
This is NOT a kids movie. And frankly, it's one of the spookiest horrors of the last 20 years, maybe more. If you're not bothered just by the perils of cave-diving itself, well there's plenty more going on down here to spike your interests.
Starring: Shauna Macdonald, Natalie Mendoza, Alex Reid, MyAnna Buring
Apr 15th

Sam Raimi in thriller/noir mode is just as good as you think it'd be. Three regular joes stumble upon a bit of cash and decide to keep it to split. Simple enough indeed.

Apr 14th
9:00pm | Cool World (1992)
I honestly can't remember my opinion of this widely poo-pooed Bakshi film. It's a bit erratic and inevitably gets dismissed as a WFRR knockoff. But I'm curious to see it now given today's neurotic, obsessive parasocial fandoms. Take my waifu... please!
Starring: Hot Cartoon Kim Basinger, Hot Brad Pitt, Hot Real Kim Basinger, Probably For Some Gabriel Byrne
Apr 13th
9:00pm | Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

Starring: Jocelin Donahue, Tom Noonan, Mary Woronov
Apr 8th
9:00pm | Death Proof (2007)
Hot Chicks, Fast Cars, and Kurt Russell. I don't know what else you could want, unless you're Quentin Tarantino and, oh wait, no there's lady feet. Yep. We're good.
