This little guy just can't stop losing his gold everywhere! Well, this time it's like a magic flute that makes you rap good or some stupid shit, but potato potato. Ice-T plays a pimp that three aspiring rappers burgle and become like rap god or whatever, but then they have both Ice-T and the horrible limmerick spouting titular wee creature after them. Will this be sooooo problematic and terrible? You better believe it!

   9:00pm | Journey to the West (2014) Martial Arts Monday is here, baby!! Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) comes back from a long hiatus with this fantasy-comedy-adventure about a bunch of pesky demons overrunning the earth realm that need a good ass-kickin from our heroes. It's as much high-flying, over-the-top fun as his other movies, plus there's a Fish Demon and a Pig Demon! Oh my!

   9:00pm | Cast Away (2000) What if I told you there was an action movie from Luc Besson and the director of Taken that nobody ever heard of? What if it also starred, I believe first-time embracing the bald John Travolta and the smug fuck who played Henry VIII in The Tudors? Didn't watch it? He was in Vikings too. Anyway, this film exists and I got a copy of it! It's ridiculous, over the top, sometimes downright idiotic, and Travolta is just putting on the pounds eating the scenery! But damn if it ain't entertaining!

An action-survival movie about a lone survivor of a plane crash just trying to stay alive on a deserted island while he waits for what looks increasingly like no help to come starring Tom Hanks in a one-man show performance of a lifetime! Aaaaand a really heartbreaking drama that'll make you question your God and the existence of love.... also starring Tom Hanks!!

   11:00pm | Ghoulies II (1987) It's Friday Night!!! You know what that means! Bad puppets are gonna climb out of your toilet and wreak havok on some idiot morons! The first one's kinda boring so we're going straight to the fairgrounds to set these gross little ripoffs of Gremlins loose. I love a fair. Circuses, county fairs, popup parking lot deathtraps... well that one not so much, but you can still get fried dough which is nice. Let the choas begin at Satan's Den!

   7:30pm | Lionheart (1990) Ummmmm, when was the last time I saw this? Lyon has to beat up a bunch of guys cuz family and/or his heritage or something something it's a Van Damme movie, don't invest too heavily in the plot. I will say this though, it actually is one of the higher rated of his late-80s/early 90s straight speedrun of Hollywood action movies.

   10:00pm | Hackers (1995) The quintessential internet movie! I guess The Net came out the same year, but it's nowhere near as fun as this rave on skates. This is the holy grail of 90s fashion and subculture, and it's just teeming with colors, amazingly awful pixel art graphics, and a young Angelina skulking about in painted-on clothes. Make no mistake, you WILL be a hacker after this crash course, so get ready to HACK THE PLANET!!

   9:00pm | Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) This is a sequel of sorts to El Mariachi/Desperado making it the third movie and somehow part II in the trilogy and the first we've watched. So, ya know, pretty standard Tuesday night stuff around here. Some of the players are back (Banderas, Hayek) and some newcomers join the band (Depp, Iglesias), but it's certainly more of the high-concept, creative gunfire and explosions we expect from our pal Robert Rodriguez!

   9:00pm | Ip Man (2008) One of the undisputed best martial arts movies ever made. We're not always fuckin' around on Monday, boyos! This is the pseudo-historical account of Yip Man, the man thought to have invented (or at least been responsible for) the art known as Wing Chun. Supposedly Bruce Lee was a student of Yip Man, but the details are probably lost to time, he did at least adopt and adapt a lot of the moves and principles though. This is the story of how one Grandmaster must bring together a town full of feuding schools (and other kung fu masters comin' for his neck) to fight a common enemy - the invading Japanese army.

   9:00pm | Knight and Day (2010) Action comedy with plenty of both delivered by ultra-goodlooking folks and directed by James "sure thing" Mangold. I dunno if his friends call him that, but I do, cuz he spits fire behind the camera! Cruise and Diaz play together really well, and there isn't a moment you're not engaged. Although as the poster suggests there is a scene with her riding him riding a motorcycle firing guns, sooooo... just for perspective sake.

This is a hilarious sports movie sendup done by the guys who would, of course, around the same time become famous for their popular television series That's My Bush, as we all know. 90s cameos and great comedy writing abound!

Maybe it's totally CG, I dunno! but I do know it is very highly acclaimed, and likely has many pastels and quirky family dynamics. Let's see!

   9:00pm | Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) More mayhem at Camp Crystal Lake a few years after Mama Voorhees decided to kickstart the camp counsellor murder heyday of the 80s. This time, Jason gets in on the murdering naked 20-somethings action in a big way, and he takes a classic AFV nut-shot too! But he's like, immortal or something we find out later, so I'm not really sure why the kick in the balls is very effective. I dunno, I don't take this series as seriously as a lot of horror fans I guess! Join for idiot characters and plenty of BOOBA.

What's it with parodies and cows anyway? Seems like the go-to animal for this genre... Top Secret, Rat Race, was there a cow in Hot Shots?

Then we're gonna blow your MIND cuz sometimes we still will use like dynamite to blow up other stuff even though we have said hazy pseudo-science means of blowing stuff up! Charlie and Rachel are eloping to Las Vegas when they encounter a Hellcop who arrests Rachel for Satan's own desires, and Sam only has 24 hours to go to Hell and rescue her. It's bat-shit crazy and so much fun!

It's absolutely hilarious and filled to the brim with cameos - like the kind of thing that you look at the cast and think, how the hell were all these people even available at the same time? Directed by Shawn Levy, the guy who did that Free Guy movie everyone's talking about lately.

It's a damn good time, and I'm definitely not gonna be spending the whole thing trying to turn on big-head mode!

   10:00pm | 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) This '99 offering is maybe one of the best teen rom-coms? Maybe it's just my age group that thinks so. Based on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, a younger girl can't go out on dates until her older, grumpier sister starts dating. Heath Ledger roared on to the Hollywood scene with this fantastic performance, and Julia Stiles is perfectly equal parts adorable/shrew. It's a light hearted good time!

   10:00pm | Taken (2008) On a more serious "loved ones getting kidnapped by a gang and an absolute chad having to rescue them" note, Taken! This is one of the best and tightest action thrillers (at exactly 90 minutes) to come out in the last, I dunno, two decades? Maybe ever? There isn't a wasted frame, you're just plunked down and strapped into the role of Liam Neeson: Vengeance Dad from beginning to end, enjoy the ride!

Well this absolutely, perfectly adequate sequel does that again, but in reverse! Does that sound like something you'd eat for sustenance? Some of the jokes are even the same, you know what... is this an Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2 sorta situation? Hogan just remade the same movie and called it a sequel? Hmmm...

   9:00pm | Ong Back: The Thai Warrior (2003) New theme! Martial Arts Monday! Kickin' it off with an absolute banger, this film brought the relatively unknown Muay Thai style to the mainstream, showcasing its brutal knee and elbow-heavy strikes with a familiar narrative style to older Hong Kong movies. Basically, a peaceful rural guy has to go on an ass-kicking tour in the big city in order to retrieve what amounts to his small town's honor in the form of a stone monk's head. Tony Jaa is phenomenal in the lead, the fight choregraphy is easily among the best, and of course wtf is a stunt double?!
